How To Be Saved

1. Understand that you are a sinner in God's eyes and that there's nothing you can do to make yourself righteous.

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes."
(Romans 3:10-18)

2. Understand that Jesus Christ came in the flesh to die for your sins and to give you eternal life with God.

"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
(Romans 5:6-8)

3. Understand that Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father and the only way you can be saved from your sins.

"Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me."
(John 14:6)

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
(Acts 4:12)

4. You must repent of your sins and believe in Jesus Christ in order to be saved.

"That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture says, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
(Romans 10:9-13)

If you sincerely believe this, then pray this prayer:

Lord God, Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner and I deserve nothing from You but judgment for my sins. But I also know that You are a gracious God that desires for no one to perish but for all to come to repentance and be saved. I believe that Jesus Christ has come to pay for my sins with His blood on the cross and that He rose again the third day to offer everlasting life to those who believe and accept Him as Lord and Savior. Please come into my life and make me into a child of God. I thank You for the free gift of salvation that You have given to me and I will honor You with my life from this moment on and forever. In Your Son Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
