How To Be Saved

1. Understand that you are a sinner in God's eyes and that there's nothing you can do to make yourself righteous.

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes."
(Romans 3:10-18)

2. Understand that Jesus Christ came in the flesh to die for your sins and to give you eternal life with God.

"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
(Romans 5:6-8)

3. Understand that Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father and the only way you can be saved from your sins.

"Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me."
(John 14:6)

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
(Acts 4:12)

4. You must repent of your sins and believe in Jesus Christ in order to be saved.

"That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture says, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
(Romans 10:9-13)

If you sincerely believe this, then pray this prayer:

Lord God, Heavenly Father,

I come before You, humbly acknowledging that I need You. I confess that I am a sinner, and I have fallen short of Your glory. But I thank You for Your great love and mercy, that You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins and rise again so that I may have eternal life.

Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that You rose from the dead, conquering sin and death. I ask You to forgive me, cleanse me, and make me new. Wash me in Your precious blood and remove all guilt, shame, and sin from my life.

Today, I surrender my heart to You. I turn away from my old ways and choose to follow You. Be my Lord and Savior, guide my steps, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Teach me to walk in Your truth, to love as You love, and to live a life that honors You.

Thank You, Lord, for Your salvation. Thank You for making me Your child and giving me the promise of eternal life. Help me to grow in faith, to seek You daily, and to walk in the purpose You have for my life.

I love You, Lord, and I give my life completely to You.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
